The old town of Xanthi
The architectural monuments in the old town of Xanthi are of unique beauty and cultural heritage, with tobacco warehouses, residential complexes and individual buildings scattered in the prefecture of Xanthi!
The old town of Xanthi started to be built after 1829 as previous years earthquakes had destroyed the city. The narrow streets of the city will impress you with cobbled streets, much green, neoclassical mansions. The city either day or night will enchant you, with bars, restaurants and traditional cafes to emerge between the alleys. The architecture, rich and unique with a lot of color and the influence of Epirus techniques will make you not want to leave until you photograph the entire city!
It is worth a visit in the first week of September to enjoy the festivities of the old town, established in 1991.
